I think, to an extent, John Carmack is pretty bright. He puts rockets in space now-a-days, so yeah, he must be bright. He also once said "You don't get anywhere in life being good at lots of things. You have to be very good at one thing" which is slightly scary. He's very good at programming, and most people know him for creating DOOM. Its always nice to have the first wildly successful first-person-shooter under your belt. Anyway, despite his extraterrestrial modern pursuits, he occasionally comes back to our humble planet to dabble in technology once again. Word on the street is that he's developing a virtual-reality headset. Its always interesting to hear what a man like John has to say on a subject, so here he is talking about the future of games.
